Use the tool palette to access the tools and palettes you need to paint, modify, and select images. Click a tool to select it. The selected tool is active until you select another tool. Use the horizontal scroll bar to scroll to additional tools.
The name of the selected tool appears in the status area at the top of the tool palette. Click the status area to open a dialog box or make a pop-up menu active. If the name of the selected tool is dimmed, there are no settings for the selected tool.
